EditKit Terms of Use

Effective 2 November 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Albard Basumata ("we") about your use of the EditKit Android app. By tapping Continue on the welcome screen, or by using EditKit, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

What EditKit does

EditKit is a set of media tools that run on your phone. Your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. You do not need an account.

Free features and EditKit Pro

The Pitch & Speed, Audio Converter, Video → Audio and Image Converter tools are free. Batch conversion is part of EditKit Pro.

Advanced settings are free to adjust. Exporting with them is limited: each tool includes a number of free Advanced exports, and after that each Advanced export needs one rewarded ad, which you choose to watch, or Pro. The app shows the current limits. Free-use counters are stored on your phone and may reset if you clear app data or reinstall.

EditKit Pro is a subscription that adds unlimited Advanced exports, batch conversion, the Audio Cutter and no ads. We may change what is included in the free version or in Pro, but a change will not reduce what you have already paid for in your current billing period.

Subscriptions and payment

Your files and your responsibilities

Your files stay yours. We claim no rights in them. You agree that:

License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use EditKit on Android devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these Terms.

You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer EditKit, except as the law allows or as the open-source licenses below allow.

Open-source software

EditKit includes open-source components, listed in Settings → Open-source licenses with their license texts. These include FFmpeg under the GNU LGPL. Each component's license applies to that component and takes priority over these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licenses, including any right to modify LGPL libraries and to reverse engineer in order to debug those modifications.

Third-party services

Ads come from Google AdMob, subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, and payments go through Google Play. We do not control these services. Ads need an internet connection and may not always be available. If no ad can load, the app offers other options.

No warranty

EditKit is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, that it will work with every file, or that every result will meet your needs. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost files or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for EditKit in the 12 months before the claim. If you have paid nothing, it is limited to the equivalent of US$10.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived, and these Terms do not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending these Terms

You can stop using EditKit at any time by uninstalling it. Remember to cancel any subscription in Google Play. We may stop your use of the app if you seriously break these Terms. We may also change or discontinue EditKit; if we discontinue Pro, Google Play's refund rules apply to any period you have paid for and not used.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, we will update this page and its effective date. We will tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using EditKit after a change, the new Terms apply.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
